Unbinding a Device from the DMSS App
When taking over a site with an existing NVR, it's often necessary to unbind the device from the DMSS app—especially when contact details for the previous owner are unavailable.
Steps to Unbind a Device:
1. Open the DMSS App
Launch the DMSS app on your mobile device.
2. Begin Adding a Device
Follow the standard process to add a new device. Scan the QR code on the device or enter the serial number manually.

3. Request to Unbind
After scanning the QR code and selecting the device, you’ll be directed to the device info page.
Tap "Request to Unbind."
4. Enter Device Password
Input the password for the device when prompted, then select "Unbind Immediately."
5. Confirmation
Once the unbinding process is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation message indicating the device has been successfully unbound.

6. Re-add the Device
You can now add the device to your DMSS account as usual.
