Solution to “Connection Failed” Error on iDMSS/gDMSS
If you're experiencing a “connection failed” error when trying to preview, add, playback, or configure your device on iDMSS/gDMSS, follow the steps below to resolve it.

The solution is to transition from iDMSS/gDMSS to the DMSS app, which provides improved compatibility and functionality.
Steps to Transfer from iDMSS/gDMSS to DMSS

Download the DMSS App
- Option 1: On the iDMSS/gDMSS homepage, click “Download Now” in the pop-up notification to be redirected to the app store.
- Option 2: Go to the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android), search for “DMSS”, and download it directly.

Log In to DMSS
- Open the DMSS app and log in with your existing iDMSS/gDMSS account credentials.

Upgrade Your Account (If Prompted)
- If an “Account Upgrade” prompt appears, click “Upgrade Account”. This will transfer all device information from iDMSS/gDMSS to DMSS automatically.
- If you don’t see an upgrade prompt, you can still log in to DMSS, but some features (like adding new devices or sharing devices) may not work as expected.

Alternative Method: Batch Add Devices Without Logging In
- Open DMSS and go to the Device Information section.
- Export your device information from iDMSS/gDMSS and scan the QR code of the device in DMSS to add devices in batch without logging in.
